Dear Sir,

(Copy)

145 Wells Way,

Bath.

Jan. 31st, 1938.

Thank you for your letter and for the trouble

you have taken on my behalf. I am sorry you fear there

is no hope of getting an increase of pension in my

exceptional circumstances but quite understand difficulties

which might arise.

With reference to applying for help from the

different charities under Charity Commissioners, I could

not possibly do this. I have never had to ask for charity

and simply could not do so now and retain my self respect,

so will manage.

I do thank you again for your interest which I

much appreciate and remain Sir

Your obedient servant,

M.A. Lee.
